46 metre indoor U-shaped LED Wall for dynamic MK-7 event space

When visitors step into Oracle Red Bull Racing's MK-7 space in Milton Keynes, England, they are immersed in the thrilling history of Formula 1, surrounded by Red Bull memorabilia, iconic race cars, and other heritage items. This makes it a unique location, accompanied by an impressive visual experience in the form of a 46.25-metre-long video wall.

Our approach with PPDS and Ruitech Solutions

The challenge

Philips Professional Display Solutions (PPDS) was tasked with giving the MK-7 space a makeover that would reflect the innovative and dynamic character of the location. It was quickly decided that the existing 6x7 video wall and banners, which stood behind the prestigious car collection, would be replaced.
The flexibility to easily swap or expand the displayed race cars was key, and the wall's content had to be quickly adaptable as well.
The event space covers 1,004m² and needed to leave a lasting impression on every visitor.
The new LED wall could not be stabilized by mounting it to the wall or ceiling, requiring a free-standing installation solution.
Due to the immense size of the LED wall, even the slightest deviation would be magnified.
The project needed to be completed in record time.

The solution

An impressive, immersive video wall measuring 46.25 meters in length and 4 meters in height was installed. The wall forms a U-shape, with the stunning collection of race cars displayed in the center. The installation was carried out by partner Ruitech Solutions.
The Vogel's Video Wall Expert Team was present on-site to provide guidance during the installation process.
More than 500 LED cabinets and over 2,000 LED tiles were used. The Philips Public LED 7000 Series was selected for this purpose.
Custom-made, curved LED mounting strips with adjustment settings were specifically developed to ensure seamless alignment of the 7000-series LED panels.
Custom floor stabilizers were created.
Using components from the universal dvLED Connect-it system, along with custom-made parts, the free-standing indoor LED wall was securely installed.

The outcome

An immense U-shaped video wall that captivates visitors at the MK-7 location, providing an interactive and immersive experience.
Thanks to the flexibility of the video wall’s content, it can easily be updated to reflect current events.
The close and professional collaboration with PPDS and Ruitech Solutions allowed the project to be completed in a short timeframe.
