Vogel's is B Corp Certified

B Corp Certified

EINDHOVEN, November 18, 2024 – Vogel’s is officially certified as a B Corporation, or B Corp, joining a select group of companies that lead in social and environmental performance. This certification marks a significant milestone for the Dutch family-owned business, recognizing its commitment to sustainable practices focused on creating a positive impact on employees, the community, customers, and the environment.

With the B Corp certification, Vogel’s reinforces its long-standing commitment to sustainability. The "B" in B Corp stands for "Benefit for all," underscoring Vogel’s focus on creating value for all stakeholders, including customers and employees. This aligns with Vogel’s mission to lead in sustainable innovation as an international player in the AV industry.

Rewarded efforts

Gerdi Vogels, CEO of Vogel’s, expressed pride in achieving this milestone: “As a market product leader sustainability for us is not optional but an obligation. We are thrilled that our efforts have been rewarded with B Corp certification. This recognition confirms our dedication to positive impact and motivates us to keep growing and improving.”

What does the B Corp Certification mean for Vogel’s?

To become a B Corp, Vogel’s underwent an intensive certification process. The certificate is awarded only to companies that score more than 80 out of a maximum of 200 points in the B Corp Impact Assessment (BIA), which evaluates organizations across five core areas: governance, environment, employees, customers, and community. We scored 80.6 points

To complete the certification, the company legally embedded their commitment to purpose beyond profit in their company articles. Every three years, B Corps must recertify to uphold certification.

A globally recognized mark of sustainability

By becoming a B Corp, Vogel’s joins a growing community of companies committed to making a sustainable impact worldwide. Currently, there are more than 9,000 certified B Corps, including over 400 in the Benelux region.

A stustainable future within the AV branche

In its 2023 CSR report, Vogel’s highlighted that 2024 would focus on achieving an international sustainability standard. The choice of B Corp aligns perfectly with its ambition to create sustainable impact through AV solutions and aligns closely with Vogel’s innovative approach as an A-brand. The certification provides Vogel’s with a clear framework to consistently contribute to sustainable results.

In the short term, Vogel’s is focusing on increasing insights into the environmental impact of its products, for instance, through Life Cycle Assessments. Results of these assessments are already visible in Ecosheets for the most popular products. One of our ambitions is to get more products certified where the environmental impact of the product is assessed. Internally, we're working towards using more renewable energy at our offices.
